Hello members, we just want to let you know that we have been continually pursuing the issue of those members who have had leave deducted when they couldn’t get to work during the severe weather warning. Just because it didn’t snow in Kilmory the impact of staff in other parts of the Council have been ignored. UNISON and the joint trade unions intend to lodge a collective grievance. If you lost leave due to the beast from the east please get in touch so we can add you to the grievance. UNISON nationally is discussing with the Scottish Government a severe weather scheme for future incidents, we’ll keep you posted on this.
