The Local Government Pay Ballot opened today, 1st September, and will run until 22nd September 2021.
This is a targeted ballot for a select group of workers:
- School Cleaning
- School Catering
- School Janitorial
- Waste and Recycling
Members included in the ballot will receive it by post and we ask you to please take part before 22nd September.
We are strongly urging members to VOTE YES to strike action to help us fight for a fair pay rise for all local government works.
We are 18 months into the global pandemic in which you have worked above and beyond, in the most difficult of circumstances, to keep key services going. The current pay offer does not recognise these efforts and we believe you are worth more – you deserve a proper pay.
Please note that all UNISON members taking action will be financially supported by UNISON.
