The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations also provides a variety of courses. Anyone in this Branch interested in their Minute Taking course should contact Jim Lamb at the above email address.
UNISON Scotland works closely with the Workers Educational Association (WEA Scotland) to promote its Learning at Work programme. This programme includes courses such as Return to Learn, Improve Your Study Skills and Introduction to IT.
The TUC also run a variety of courses aimed at Trade Union activists.
A 'Pathways into Equal Pay' (5ooKb PDF file) course can offer a first step into activity for members. It is a positive option which branches can present when engaging with members on the issue of equal pay and has provided real benefits to branches by delivering a new layer of active members.
Please contact the Education Officer for further details.
